Pastor Kathy began her journey with Desert Springs Church in 1998 when they were first meeting together. She began teaching in Kid’s Splash from the start because of the energy that is put into the Childrens Department in teaching them the way they should live according to God’s word and encouraging them to grab ahold of the purpose and plan God has for them. Kathy grew up in Colorado and moved to the Phoenix area in 1994. She is married to Rod Allen and they have 2 children. Her daughter, Mandie Allen currently lives in Washington where she is in full time school completing her degree in communications. Her son, Nick, is on the dsc Worship team and is pursing a career in insurance. If you ask Kathy what God’s purpose and plan is for her life, she will tell you without hesitation that it is working with kids. Her energy, compassion, and heart beats daily for our young generation to hear God, serve God, and grow into all He created them to be. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to “train up a child in the way they should go,” and as we partner with parents in teaching and training we believe we will see a generation of Champions for Christ. Pastor Kathy graduated from DSLI 2004 and received her Pastoral license through The Assembly of God International in 2007.
